Changes
“Friends forever,†you promised.
“Together till the end.â€
We did everything with each other.
You were my best friend.
When I was sad, you were by my side.
When I was scared, you felt my fear.
You were my best support -
If I needed you, you were there.
You were the greatest friend,
You always knew what to say:
You made everything seem better.
As long as we had each other,
Everything would be okay.
But somewhere along the line,
We slowly came apart.
I was here, you were there,
It tore a hole in my heart.
Things were changing,
Our cheerful music reversed its tune.
It was like having salt without pepper,
A sun without its moon.
Suddenly we were miles apart,
Two different people, with nothing the same.
It was as if we hadn’t been friends;
Although we knew deep in our hearts
Neither one of us was to blame
You had made many new friends
And luckily, so had I
But that didn’t change the hurt -
The loss of our friendship made me cry.
As we grow older, things must change
But they don’t always have to end.
Even though it is different, now,
You will always be my friend.

i just read your poem and i coppied it to my jounral its amazing how what you wrote is so very similar to what happened to me and my best friend a couple months ago…your poem really touched me and made me feel so much better about how i looked at how the friendship ended! Thank You! -Amy

So Intresting poem,
On this poem my 2 lines as:0-
तà¥à¤à¥‡ देखे बिना तेरी तसà¥à¤µà¥€à¤° बाना सकता हूठ,
तà¥à¤à¤¸à¥‡ मिले बिना तेरा हाल बता सकता हूठ,
है मेरी दोसà¥à¤¤à¥€ मे इतना दम ,
अपनी आख का आंसू तेरी आंख से गिरा सकता हूठ!

Har pal aapko hasayenge..
pata bahi aapko fursad hai ki nahi
yad karne ki humain?

its so true… i’ve experienced wit a friend before n very soon its goin to be wit my best friend…
both kno tat we cannot be this way.. but it hurts to even think abt…
just a few months n i’ll be some where n he’ll be somewhere…
both kno it’ll never be the same…
how i wish it remains the way it is now…
poem has just given me the medium to express wat i really wanna say… thanks a lot…
